renafi · April 18, 2019

Budgeting is frequently misunderstood in that it typically gets a bad reputation. Those who are living with ADHD can appreciate how budgeting is seen. Excelling with ADHD and even budgeting is absolutely achievable.

In these courses, we will evaluate what poor financial health looks like and steps to overcome these hurdles. Specific to the ADHD crowd and the biggest financial challenges we face, impulse buys and frequent late payments will be covered.

Linda Walker

Linda Walker is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), who has trained as a business coach, specializing in ADHD Coaching. Since 2005, she’s provided specialized ADHD coaching and training to entrepreneurs, adults with ADHD and other creative geniuses who struggle with productivity, organization, and focus. In 1997, Linda’s husband, Duane, was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD). This explained his challenges with productivity, focus, and organization. It also explained the severe financial difficulty the family was facing. Frequent career changes resulting from being fired (or quitting impulsively) ensured that the family’s revenue was inconsistent. Duane’s impulsivity (he bought a new car one afternoon when the one he was driving broke down) led to major financial problems. At one point, Duane’s wages were garnished and there was a lien on their home. Duane was incapable of managing money, and Linda’s efforts were often stymied by Duane’s ADHD. Following Duane’s diagnosis, Linda and Duane worked together to create strategies and systems to give Duane better career success and to improve their money management. Together, they have gotten out of debt, created an investment portfolio and are financially successful. As in most areas of your life, traditional strategies for managing money fall short when you have ADHD. Linda shares the lessons Duane and she learned about managing money in an ADHD family. She has also created several programs to help adults with ADHD work to succeed in business by improving their focus, organization, and productivity. She offers these programs online and with group coaching programs designed especially for adults with ADHD. She’s the author of With Time to Spare: The Ultimate Guide to Peak Performance for Entrepreneurs and Adults with ADHD and Other Creative Geniuses. You can find out more about Linda at
